Game of Thrones Snow Village

Only 45 kilometres from Levi is Lainio Snow Village, which is truly a masterpiece of ice sculpturing. The whole place is made of ice and snow and the sculptures are amazing. The Snow Village opens every year around November and closes usually in April. The sculptures don´t last the whole year, so they´re made again yearly and always with a new theme. In 2020, the theme was Game of Thrones, in 2021 Macro World, and in 2022 outer space.

If you´re looking for something extraordinary and a bit chilling, you can even sleep in the snow hotel in a bed made of ice! Of course you will have a high quality sleeping bag and warm clothing, so don´t worry, it´s not really as cold as you may first think. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience which to brag about back at home, right? Thankfully, they have also warm cabins and teepee cottages, if a thought of sleeping surrounded by ice gives you chills.

Besides sleeping, you can chill out in the frosty atmosphere of the Ice Bar, where even the beverages are served in glasses made of ice. And in case of a hunger, they serve a three-course lunch, plus there´s another restaurant named Log Restaurant Krouvi, where you can have a delicious a ´la carte meal. And no need to stress about the temperature; if chilly, you´ll get extra clothes to wear in the Ice Bar, and Log Restaurant Krouvi is in warm and cozy surrounding.
